Example conversation with an assistant connected to Omnitae:

Connect Claude, Codex, and ChatGPT to Omnitae

Give the assistant you already use a permissioned way to work with your resumes, applications, and tailored documents. Copy this guide as Markdown and hand it directly to your agent.

What connecting does

A connected assistant can list and read your resumes, create a tailored resume from a master, run Omnitae's tailoring against a job description, export a finished resume as PDF or Word, and check or update application statuses.

Actions use the same permissions, plans, and AI credits as the Omnitae app. The assistant only gets access after you sign in and approve the connection.

The server URL

All three setups use the same public Omnitae MCP endpoint:

Claude on the web

  1. Open Claude and go to Customize → Connectors.
  2. Click +, then choose Add custom connector.
  3. Enter Omnitae and the server URL above.
  4. Click Add and complete the Omnitae sign-in and approval flow.
  5. In a conversation, click + → Connectors and enable Omnitae for that chat.

Claude connects to remote servers from Anthropic's cloud, so the endpoint must be publicly reachable. It does not need to be installed on your computer.

Claude Code

Run this command in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http omnitae https://app.omnitae.com/mcp

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code if you need to complete OAuth or inspect the connection. Approve only the permissions and tools you want Claude to use.

Codex CLI

Run this command in your terminal:

codex mcp add omnitae --url https://app.omnitae.com/mcp

Codex saves the server in its MCP configuration. If it asks for a separate login, run codex mcp login omnitae, then start a new Codex session and check /mcp.

ChatGPT on the web

ChatGPT custom MCP apps are currently a web feature with workspace and plan requirements. Availability and labels can change.

  1. Open ChatGPT on the web and enable Developer mode if your workspace allows it.
  2. Open Settings → Apps and choose the custom MCP app option.
  3. Enter Omnitae and the server URL above.
  4. Scan the tools, complete OAuth, and create the draft app.
  5. Test it in a new chat, then publish or enable it according to your workspace policy.

Business and Enterprise/Edu workspaces can use full MCP apps with write actions when enabled by an admin. Pro users can connect custom MCP servers with read/fetch access in developer mode. Custom MCP apps are currently web-only, not available in ChatGPT mobile apps.

Permissions and security

Omnitae uses OAuth. Your assistant does not receive your Omnitae password. Review requested scopes and tool approvals carefully, and disconnect the assistant from its settings or revoke the connection in Omnitae when you no longer need it.

MCP servers can read data and take actions on your behalf. Connect only to servers you trust, and do not approve tools you do not need. Every action taken through the Omnitae MCP server is logged.

Who can use it

MCP access requires an active Omnitae Pro or Writer plan. Your normal AI credits and application permissions still apply.
